• I was the main organiser of the ‘Solent University exhibition stand’ for our course at the Develop Conference in Brighton on 24th-26th July 2007. The initial application for the stand was carried out by our course leader, which resulted in me volunteering for the organisation from thereon. The responsibilities involved liaising on a regular basis with University staff for the funding and equipment, and liaising with the event organisers at Tandem Events to finalise all aspects of the stand. I was responsible for everything over the course of the show ensuring that it ran smoothly for us students.
• Full, clean driving licence.
INTERESTS
• Gaming – I play a wide range of games on my PC or Xbox360, although most especially FPS and Driving games, along with the odd MMORPG from time to time. I have a huge fondness and passion for playing and creating games, and high quality artwork gives me inspiration to better my work in general and reach that standard.
• Airsoft - Similar to Paintball, Airsoft is a combat sport using replica of real firearms firing 6mm BBs. It’s a very strenuous activity, involving tactics and teamwork however it’s a lot of fun. I am part of a team with some friends I know, so the experience is far more worthwhile having to work together to overcome the ‘enemy’ team.
• Themeparks and Rollercoasters - Being a definite thrill seeker, when possible, I love to go to themeparks around the UK with friends due to a real fondness of Rollercoasters and other thrill rides. I love the feeling of rides and the adrenaline rush that comes with them, as well as wanting to try something new.
• Music – I do listen to a lot of music, and I’m usually listening to some when I’m at a computer. I listen to a large number of Metal bands, and love to go see my favourite bands at gigs when the opportunity arises.
• Driving – The freedom that comes with having my own car, and being able to go places not possible before, is an advantage I love to have.
